NSR stated that the railway construction work in Hamburg will continue until September 6, which will affect trains passing through Kaliningrad.

The freight forwarder added that in addition to delays in railway hubs, there is also an extreme shortage of available containers in China.

"Container costs are rising every week, especially in South China-Yantian, Nansha and Xiamen. Most freight forwarders have to rent containers, which will also increase rail freight." NSR said.

The freight forwarder stated that the freight for each container of the China-Europe Railway in September was approximately US$18,000, depending on the route.
